The structure of the Palacio de Congresos Auditorium will be completed before the end of the year (22/09/2009)

The mayor of Eagle, Juan Ramírez Soto, accompanied by the mayor of Goods and Works, Kitty Lawrence and the Councillor for Culture, Clara Valverde, visited this morning the work of the future Auditorio-Palacio de Congresos.

During the tour, guided by the municipal architect, José Spin and editor of the project architect, Alberto Veiga, authorities have seen first hand the advanced state found in the construction of this imposing structure, which is expected be completed before year's end.

Along the journey through the different rooms it has been known that, on the ground floor lies a multipurpose room with a capacity for 150 persons and a restaurant-bar.

From the first floor central hall highlights the multifunctional, that can accommodate up to 750 spectators, where he developed the most massive events.

In the main hall has a large window of 9'50 meters tall, that holes into the sea, with spectacular views over the bay and castle San Juan de las Aguilas, welcoming in another room upstairs that seats about 295 users.

Using three different restoration areas, implemented on the ground floor and levels two and four, it is intended that the actual Auditorium Conference Centre is self-sufficient when it comes to bear the costs of future maintenance.

In his meeting with the media, the editor of the project architect has defined the building as "unique with its own personality, ambitious, but without vanity."

Veiga also said that "it is a high quality public space, which seeks boost Eagles, building fully integrated city and countryside."

For its part, the mayor of Eagles wanted to highlight "the great enthusiasm and effort to realize a project that some thought might never take place."

Ramirez, who has expressed his wish that the Auditorio-Palacio de Congresos is definitively concluded before the end of the year 2010, said "will be a functional building for the enjoyment of the aquiline and help make the town have a new tourism. "
