Eagles opened in the exhibition "Museum of Naval Model Julio Castelo Matrán" (05/08/2009)

Yesterday, Tuesday, August 4 at 20:00 pm in the Municipal Building "The Placetón" held the official opening of the exhibition "Museum of Naval Model Matrán Julio Castelo, which will remain until next Eagles day 30.

The opening ceremony was attended by: Juan Ramírez Soto, Mayor of Eagle, Clara Valverde, Edil of Celebration, Culture and Tourism Matrán Julio Castelo, Francisco Ruiz Ruisueño, Second Vice President of the Board and Board of Directors of MAPFRE Foundation, Pablo Jiménez Burillo, Director General of the Cultural Institute of the Fundación MAPFRE, and Manuel Jodar CajaMurcia senior vice president, among other guests.

The exhibition features 24 scale models of famous ships of the naval history, conducted entirely by Julio Castelo Matrán, Honorary Chairman of MAPFRE Foundation and chief executive between 1990 and 2001 MAPFRE.

The exhibition is an outstanding collection of model ships, unique for its design and quality and bring together in one space, models of ships and boats of different ages and backgrounds to provide an overview of both the modeling, as naval history.

This is a warship that is attributed to their participation in relevant historical facts.

It studies, other models of exceptional technical complexity and the ship Holy Trinity, considered the most important Spanish ship gunship in the world in his day (S. XVIII), full bridge with four cannons and was dismasted and captured in battle of Trafalgar in 1805, or the Sovereign of the Seas, built in England in 1637 with the aim of which was "the most beautiful ship that had never known the seas."
