The mayor of Eagle, Mari Carmen Moreno, has been chosen for this purpose member of the Territorial Council of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) during the eleventh plenary week this institution.
Following the appointment aquiline mayor, who was very pleased with the election of socialist Abel Caballero as president of the FEMP, he stressed that one of the priorities will be to work for a new law on funding for municipalities that is more just.
"The municipalities are poorly funded, assuming powers which are not municipal," noted Brown.
In the same vein, the first hooked mayor also noted that another of the lines that mark his work within the Territorial Council FEMP will "request for the immediate repeal of the law on local reform is causing so much damage and cause in the municipalities ".
It should be noted that the Regional Council is the organ of highest authority of the FEMP, composed of 61 members from all over Spain, one of which is, since last Saturday, the mayor aquiline, Mari Carmen Moreno.
