The Minister of Health and Social Policy, Catherine Lorenzo, remember that from the regional government 64.6 million euros intended to finance more than 3,500 seats and services
The Directorate General of Persons with Disabilities Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS) allocates 92,982 euros to arrange ten places in the Department of Promotion of Personal Autonomy and Prevention Unit Intensity Specialty Down Syndrome Foundation (Fundown) Eagles.
The Minister of Health and Social Policy, Catherine Lorenzo, accompanied by the manager of IMAS, Leopoldo Navarro, director and the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, visited the professionals and service users.
The service, which is offered on weekdays in the morning, providing specialized people with intellectual disabilities through programs in which conducts a complete life-course development to promote autonomy attention.
The purpose is to address situations of personal dependence and promote normal family life.
To do this, providing psychological and pedagogical care, pre-employment training, sociociocultural animation and speech therapy, among others are encouraged.
The Minister stressed the work performed by all professionals Fundown, and stressed the "need to continue encouraging collaboration with this organization to promote autonomy and social integration of people with disabilities."
The Directorate General of Persons with Disabilities of IMAS are financed 64,684,105 euros a total of 3,566 spaces and services for people with disabilities.
Of these seats, 2,207 are in day centers, 1,091 residences, 147 in SEPAP and 12 at the Center for Promotion of Personal Autonomy.
