On Thursday, all political groups represented municipal (PP, PSOE and Mixed), raise the regular plenary session of February a joint proposal to support farmworkers.
In the motion explained that "it concerns all the many complaints received, referring to the long hours of work in the field. We understand that it is mandatory to comply with the law in this area, much more when we are talking about the health of people and working conditions in which their workday is developed ".
The text goes on to say that "cooperation between central and regional government, employers and unions is necessary and urgent to raise awareness of the need to protect jobs and respect the rights of workers".
Finally, emphasizes that "it is necessary to promote quality employment, which enables men and women working in the field reconcile work and family life and develop their work in the best conditions".
Therefore, the political groups requested that the City of Eagle urge the Regional Assembly to take the necessary measures to comply with the agreement of the sector and ensure the development of decent work, based on respect for the rights of workers field in the Region of Murcia.
