More than 400 athletes from different categories, gathered yesterday at Eagles to participate in the XXI Duathlon Carnival, a test qualifying for regional league and the championship of Spain Duathlon.
The athletes, many of them dressed, played this competition for enabled between Levante Bay Road and Bypass circuit, accompanied at all times by a radiant sun that embellished the race.
The overall winners were Alberto González Gil (male), with a time of 58 minutes and 18 seconds, and Emma Pallant (female), with a time of 1 hour and 8 minutes and 11 seconds.
They were followed in second and third place, Paul Martin and Pedro Antonio Lopez de Haro in men and Sharon Bel Marina Martinez Garcia and women.
The awards were presented by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, and the Councillor for Sports, Diego Martínez, accompanied by Character Eagles Carnival 2015, in adult and child mode.
