United Left-Greens Eagles restructures its direction, now headed by Pedro Hernandez coordinator (15/09/2014)

On Saturday, September 13, United Left-Greens Eagles held a General Assembly in which he proceeded to the restructuring of the local leadership, now headed by Pedro Hernandez as coordinator.

This meeting was attended by a large number of members and supporters of the organization, being especially notable for the presence of young participants.

Also present José Manuel López, secretary of the United Left-Greens in the Region of Murcia.

The outgoing coordinator, Miguel Antonio Carrasco Cayuela, toured the years he has held the position, stating that "after 17 years and 2 coordinating council can say I am very proud to belong to the United Left."

A healthy economy, the focus on youth as a protagonist, a pleasant working environment and good electoral results are the legacy of his work as coordinator.

The main challenge for the new leadership will achieve greater citizen involvement in the operation of the Local Assembly and better dissemination of our discourse.

Following the unanimous approval of the management report presented by Miguel Antonio Carrasco, proceeded to the election of Local Political Council.

The bid led by Pedro Hernandez won majority support from the audience.

This application, in which experience with youth and enthusiasm combined, consists of: Pedro Hernandez, Francisca Soledad Ruiz, Miguel Antonio Carrasco, Isabel María Hernández, José María Hernández Pertusa, María José Lenci, Pedro Javier López, Milagros Asensio and our Councillor Maria Isabel Torrente.

With the establishment of the new Local Political Council, IU-Green Eagles renews its commitment to the role of youth, two young members being selected as members of management;

likewise, shake ties with the world of work with the addition of two union of Workers Commissions (CCOO).

Finally, it is also necessary to note that five of the members of the highest local body are women, forming a joint address.

In the speech to the audience after his election, Pedro Hernandez (IU militant syndicated since 1986 and for nearly four decades CCOO), said "I hope not in office, but United Left" because "We have a good councilor and better expectations for the municipal elections."

He also gave a speech to the outgoing coordinator, who he said "will always be close to me because I learned from it."

A new direction for new times.
