Yesterday took place at the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel, the closing of the XIII Diet Cookery Course, which was held this week, at the place, with the participation of twenty people.
The event was chaired by the mayor of Health aquiline Consistory, Ana María Miñarro, and the president of the Diabetic Association of Eagles (ADIA), Yolanda Gallego, as representatives of the bodies responsible for organizing this activity.
For four days, attendees have learned to prepare two dishes and a dessert, which on a daily basis have been prepared by the chef of the hotel mentioned, then being tasted by the participants themselves.
Among the recipes featured in this issue, have excelled culinary as eggplant with vinaigrette, vegetable ragout studded saffron trout fillets with potato salad, chicken thighs roasted with mixed salad, pineapple cake with bananas and almonds or apple yogurt and cottage cheese.
Also, as usual, during the classes have been offered basic information on nutrients, diets, special foods for diabetics or how to deal with the disease, among other points of interest.
The course, which concluded with the traditional presentation of diplomas to members of ADIA was rated positively by Councillor Delegate for Health, as well as all those who have been part of it.
