Eagles celebrates Pilgrimage Rociero biggest of recent years (05/05/2014)

Eagles hosted last weekend the XXVI edition of the Pilgrimage to Rociero Saltaor Mill, the busiest in recent years, thanks to good weather prevailing and the date chosen for the meeting, coinciding with the longest bridge in the May 1 .

Many local authorities, led by the mayor, Bartolome Hernandez, accompanied the hundreds of pilgrims who gathered at the gates of the church of San José, after the Solemn Mass and blessing of pilgrims offered the chaplain of the Brotherhood, Manuel Amatriaín to undertake the first part of a tour that took them to the Plaza Virgen del Rocío, where riders and strollers joined.

Eagles Mayor and pastor of St. Joseph, accompanied by the older brother of the Brotherhood of Our Lady Virgen del Rocio Robles Ginés, got there the official start of the road, then performing the traditional stop at the headquarters of the Guardia Civil for carrying out the floral offering to the Virgin of Pilar.

The colorful rocieros costumes, songs and festive atmosphere staged over two thousand pilgrims who attended the event were the predominant throughout the day.

Once participants arrived at the spot of the Mill Sataor and set up camp, the playful acts intermingled with signs of devotion to "La Paloma Blanca".

The Pilgrimage XXVI Rociero closed yesterday Sunday, around 21 hours, with the entry of simpecado the parish of St. Joseph and a Mass dedicated to the pilgrims, ending this activity, no doubt, can be cataloged a "great success of participation."
