Socialist Youth Eagles joins the International Day Against Violence Against Women with the screening of the film "13 Roses" (25/11/2013)

The Hall of Mirrors at the Casino was the place chosen by Socialist Youth Eagles last Friday, for the screening of the iconic film "Thirteen Roses" directed by Emilio López Lázaro in 2007.

Thus, they want to join the commemoration of the International Day Against Violence Against Women.

"The thirteen roses" is the name of the group that was given to a group of thirteen young people, half of them members of the Unified Socialist Youth, who were shot by the Franco regime in Madrid on August 5, 1939, shortly after the end of the Spanish Civil War.

Taking advantage of the commemoration of this important day, the Eagles JJSS have reported that PP cuts on equality pose bring women's rights to the past.

In this sense, they have asserted that its position is zero tolerance for sexism, wherever it comes from and show a clear commitment to equality and dignity of women in the context of an advanced society such as ours must be.

In another vein, young people prepare their socialist and calendar of events for next December to mark the holiday season.

Among the activities that are planned, there is a campaign to collect new toys for delivery to underprivileged children of the village.

From the youth organization, have indicated that new dates will be announced more details about this gesture of solidarity, so that you can join anyone who is interested in collaborating with the cause.
