Eagle City Council allocates $ 3,000 to help those affected by the typhoon in the Philippines Haiyan (22/11/2013)

Eagle City Council allocated $ 3,000 to help those affected by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda), which last November 8 ravaged Philippines.

The proposal led to the General Affairs Committee, as reported by the holder of this area mayor, Clara Valverde, along with the decision to channel it through some of the NGOs providing humanitarian aid in the country.

Valverde explained that the Consistory aquiline has on numerous occasions, disaster situations that have affected different developing countries, where much of the population, usually the poorest, has been featured in the devastating effects of natural forces.

Again, Eagles wanted to show solidarity with the needy, releasing this economic value under the heading of 0.7%, which will be approved at the next meeting of the local government.

The mayor of General Affairs wanted to appeal to the public, so that, within its capabilities, to collaborate to make contributions in different bank accounts have been opened across the country for this purpose, while stressed that the City of Eagle assign public spaces for any group that is willing to organize petitionary tables or other similar activity.
