The Interpretation Aquarium and Sea Center is preparing for its opening (14/11/2013)

Aquiline and visitors will soon enjoy an Aquarium and Ocean Interpretation Centre which will add to the wide range of museums of the town.

It is an initiative within the Tourism Competitiveness Plan "Eagles, Sea and Fisheries", a project funded by the Consistory aquiline, the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism and the ERDF .

The head of the local executive, Bartolome Hernandez, and the Council of Tourism and Works, Clara Valverde and Diego Martinez, with the manager of the Plan, José María Muñoz, this morning made a routine visit to the new facility, located next to Stove Pier in the building "Two Bays".

Local authorities toured the premises, accompanied by municipal technicians and team members musealization and can check the advanced stage in which are some jobs that will be completed later this year, as announced last August when awarded.

Stays include a Center on Sea, equipped with a permanent show, which will focus on the history of fishing in the municipality.

The thread will be themed and will be divided chronologically by area, hosting a series of sections to interpret its contents: hawk food, types of floats or fisherman typical house in the twentieth century, among others.

Complete an audiovisual didactic exposure, where a voiceover narrating the links will sailors of the city, its historical development and current industry.

The infrastructure is designed so that visitors can move Interpretation Center of the Sea to a boat 20 feet long, which rises above the Aquarium, from which, besides appreciating each component parts, will enjoy the wonderful views of the Bay of Stove and Fraile Island.

The room will house samples aquariology the environment and coastal ecosystems of tropical seas.

It has 12 tanks (nine of 500 liters, two and one 3000 liters 30,000 liters) and is currently in a state of implementation of 80%, failing to place only explanatory graphics, signage and the introduction of living species.

Finally, the building will also host quarantine room to isolate the fish before placing them permanently.

The site is already finished and in the coming days will introduce the first species to start the acclimatization process.

Given that the works will be finished in December and this month will begin the adaptation period of the fish in the quarantine room, when there are no setbacks, the Aquarium and Sea Interpretive Center will open to the public in early year, according to the mayor of Eagle said after the visit.
