The Consistory aquiline and the Municipal Sports last night acknowledged the work of more than a hundred people and local authorities during the course of a gala held in the Auditorium and Congress Palace "Infanta Elena"
Over a hundred athletes and clubs Eagles were honored last night during the course of a massive gala held in the Auditorium and Congress Palace "Infanta Elena" and featured a performance by famed group Cadiz "Decapitated".
The event, organized by the Consistory aquiline and the Municipal Sports, served to honor individuals and organizations that have excelled during the season 2012/13, recognizing the sport work performed by them in different disciplines and regional championships, national and international .
The event was chaired by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, and the mayor of Sports, Diego Martinez, accompanied by a remarkable number of councilors of the municipal corporation, and was presented by Siro López, known commentator of the "Punto Pelota" , and Anne of Jesus Campanario, who was also responsible for interpreting two songs, one solo and one with Crouseilles Marta (singer of local group "Fallen from Heaven").
Affection samples were incessant athletes throughout the evening, leaving particularly significant moments, such as recognition to Jose Antonio Exposito athlete, gold medal in long jump at the Paralympics in London.
The bodies and security forces and the colleges and institutes also had their distinction, some for their help during the development of various tests and the other for the promotion of sport in their schools.
As local authorities said, Eagles put clear yesterday that cradle and base of the best sport, both by the high number and quality of people who practice it, as well as its superb facilities and institutional support it receives from the Consistory aquiline.
