The councilman of Culture and Heritage of the City of Eagle, Francisco Miguel Martinez and senior master of the Guild of Handicraft Various Regional Jose Maria Gomez, accompanied by other local authorities and guests, handmade exhibition opened last night about the life and work of sculptor Francisco Salzillo Alcaraz.
This is a traveling exhibition, which has rotated since it was inaugurated in 2006 in Italy.
He has traveled and different countries and different municipalities of the Region of Murcia, obtaining a great success, and soon will move through other regions.
The exhibition includes more than three hundred pieces of many craftsmen, some of them missing, that pay homage to the illustrious sculptor through different works, in which admiration is evident that these have for the great master.
Salzillo was born on May 21, 1707 in Murcia, a city that never wanted to leave.
He is the son of an Italian father and mother knew Murcia and merge perfectly the feeling of these two great cultures, creating in the region and the Baroque school belenista.
The exhibition is on display in the Temporary Exhibition Hall Auditorium and Congress Palace "Infanta Elena" and will be open until November 30, Tuesday to Sunday, the hours of 18:15 to 21 hours.
