Numerous aquiline and visitors gathered last night to witness the third evening of ballads and Cante Flamenco "Homage to Paco Rabal", an event organized by the Department of Culture and Heritage of the City of Eagle, in partnership with the Brotherhood of Friends of Traditions and columbines crews "Marina de Cope" and "Cuesta de Gos".
The event was held under the moonlight of the hamlet aquiline "La Cuesta de Gos", birthplace of the famous actor, and was attended Rabal's widow, actress Asunción Balaguer, along with several local authorities headed by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez.
The gala was attended by the troubadours: Salvador Marinas, Pedro Cardoso (father and son) and Francisco "The Floristero", with guitarist Antonio Micol, as well as the singer Anabel Castillo who accompanied Francis Hernandez guitar.
Throughout the night it was clear the infinite love that the aquiline have felt and feel every one of his countrymen more universal, emphasizing the moment that Bartolome Hernandez handed a bouquet of flowers to an excited Asunción Balaguer, a moment that awakened the warm applause of the audience.
On 29 August, it will be exactly twelve years of the death of Francisco Rabal, who died of respiratory failure while returning to Spain by plane from Montreal.
