The Director General of Agro-Food Industry and Agricultural Training, Angel Garcia Lidón, this week visited different farms in the locality.
During the tour, was accompanied by the Councillor for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Francisco Navarro, and several members of Asaja in Eagles, led by its president, José Quiñonero.
Throughout the day, visited different infrastructures belonging to young farmers who have entered the sector and have benefited from the aid line to the first installation, included in the Rural Development program of the Region of Murcia, and other farms whose owners benefited from the subsidies provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water and the EAFRD, for improving agricultural facilities.
All present concurred that farmers Eagles were pioneers in the introduction of new techniques to establish production systems that respect the environment and food security, such as the disinfection of soil solarization and releasing natural enemies in biological pest control.
In addition, the authorities wanted to make clear that the farmer is innovative aquiline, adapting to different situations that happen and seeking alternative markets with the introduction of new types of crops such as table grapes.
