Ten years of Coastal Eco-Schools in Eagles (14/05/2013)

In yesterday afternoon ended this school program, which involved about 200 students from eight schools in the locality.

The Councillor for Education, Francisco Clemente, presided yesterday afternoon in the closing ceremony of the tenth edition of the school program "Coastal Eco-Schools", which involved about 200 students from eight schools in the locality.

The event was held in the Auditorium and Congress Palace "Infanta Elena" and began with a lecture by sailor Murcia, Diego Fructuoso, crew of Team Telefónica in the Regatta "Volvo Ocean Race", which was also followed by several teachers and parents of schoolchildren.

After the talk, the mayor of Education and the directors of the CEIP Urci and San Juan de las Aguilas, near the head coach of Club Náutico and monitors "Coastal Eco-Schools", proceeded to hand out diplomas to students who have successfully completed this program and consolidated within the range of extracurricular activities in the municipality.

Francisco Clemente closed the event noting that, each year, the City of Eagle and the Marina try to instill in students the importance of appreciating the values ​​that enrich our town, its coastline and its diversity.

These objectives are achieved through guided tours of the cultural and natural heritage of the city, complemented by educational activities in the schools.

Another aspect highlighted Clemente during his speech, was the methodology that is used in this program, since participants gain knowledge while having fun, so the activities become a source of information that reaches the school in an agile and enjoyable.
