This past weekend was inaugurated in the Auditorium and Congress Palace "Infanta Elena" the exhibition "The Civil Guard Eagles: uniformity, photographs and documents 1931-2013", which will be open until the 26th of May, in 18.00 hours to 20.30 hours.
The opening ceremony was conducted by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, the mayor of Culture and Heritage, Francisco Miguel Martínez, and the civil guard and curator of the exhibition, Jesualdo Moreno, accompanied by several councilors of the municipal corporation and many members of Body, belonging to different units, among whom was Lieutenant-Colonel, Arturo Prieto.
This shows part of the initiative of the civil guard Jesualdo Moreno Pérez, grandson and son of the body, with over 15 years collecting militaria, student of the history of the worthy and uniformity.
He has also done a special course uniformology, given by the Institute of Military History and Culture (IHCM) of the Ministry of Defense, and is president and founder of the Association of Cartagena Militaria (AMILCAR).
During the opening of the exhibition, Jesualdo explained that the idea for this project arose from his love of history and military collectibles.
Gradually, he acquired headgear, uniforms, badges, documents etc.., Both military and police bodies and especially anything related to the Civil Guard, since the second half of the twentieth century to today.
In this sample you can see uniforms from different eras represented, with the addition that a large part of the Corps units or specialties have paid or serving in Águilas, which makes it very attractive exposure both to the understanding, as for the layman in this field.
The exhibition area has two distinct parts, one devoted to units based in the town (Safety, Tax Specialists, SEPRONA, Marine Section, etc..) And another aimed at those who, even without basis in this barracks , performed daily or occasional service in the territorial demarcation of Eagles (Traffic Division, dog expert and Maritime Services or Rural Safety Association).
Besides described, the sample includes a separate section of headgear civil guard, from different periods, representing the vast majority of specialties and services.
Their number revolves around the 60 pieces, including helmets and textiles.
Also disclosed miscellany (distinctive uniform items, curios etc.) And 30 exclusive photographs of this body in Águilas.
All uniforms and headgear posters displayed accompanied by descriptive data on which its period of use, so that the visitor has greater autonomy in making the visit without the need for a guide.
