Former prosecutor offers a conference in Lorca Eagles (23/11/2012)

The event was organized by the consistory aquiline, within the program of activities to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

The Cultural Hall Cajamurcia in Eagles last night hosted a conference of former prosecutor Dean of Lorca, José Martínez Blanco, organized by the Department of Women's consistory aquiline, part of the program of events commemorating the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

The event featured numerous assistants, among whom were several local authorities, led by the city mayor, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, and Councilman Women, Maria Martinez Sponsorship.

During the talk, which was titled "Gender Violence. Crimes: issues raised by their application. Rights of Women," Martinez Blanco highlighted the large number of crimes committed in this area and tried one of the most important aspects safeguard the women who have been victims of abuse, such as "protective order" as well as the shortcomings of the current positive law.

In his speech, the former prosecutor stressed the importance of the incorporation of women into the labor market, so that it has autonomy from the man, or the elevation of the cultural level, as a matter of substance to alleviate the problem, among other topics.

The program of activities will continue this afternoon at 18:30 pm in the Auditorium and Congress Palace "Princess Elena", with a screening of short films participating in the Contest III "Short with Violence" and delivering prizes to the winners.

On Sunday, coinciding with Remembrance Day, at 11'45 pm in Esplanade Auditorium and attended by local authorities, it will read a clear institutional and carry out the development of a "Red Humana "against gender violence, which is open to all those citizens who want it.

The acts will face its final stretch with the opening of the second photography exhibition "Women columbine columbine seen by women: A gender perspective", organized in collaboration with the social and cultural association "Arrecife" which will open on Monday, 26 of November at 19.00 am at the Cultural Hall Cajamurcia.

Will be open until Sunday, December 2, at 11.00 hours to 13.00 hours and from 19.00 to 21.00 hours.
