Doña Manolita "lottery", a vision of portraits of the nineteenth, twentieth and twenty-first (12/11/2012)

The Auditorium and Congress Palace "Princess Elena" Eagles hosting an exhibition of paintings and drawings that represent an evolution of the portrait by different authors.

The Auditorium and Congress Palace "Princess Elena" Eagles host since last weekend a collection of oil paintings and drawings that represent an evolution of the portrait by different authors of the XIX, XX and XXI.

The exhibition was opened by the town mayor, Bartolomé Hernández, and the Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Francisco Miguel Martínez, accompanied the painter Manuel Coronado and other local officials and guests.

Visitors can visit this exhibition until January 31, Tuesday to Sunday, between the hours of 18'00 to 20'30 hours and may see more than 40 works by artists such as Francis Bacon, Pablo Ruiz Picasso, John Ulbricht, Damian Jaume Ackermann, Manuel Coronado, Calvo Carrión, Xam, Mues, Calvet, Carmen Giraldez, Fran Recacha, etc., plus some anonymous authors of the nineteenth century.

Notably, the central square of this collection and also gives the exhibition its title is that of Doña Manolita "lottery", famous character of the century who founded the famous lottery of the Puerta del Sol in Madrid.

This exhibition is also intended as a tribute to the figure of Doña Manolita, not only for its popularity, but because it was usual vacationer Eagles, even to have a house on the street Floridablanca Township.
