The directors of Caritas Parish of St. Joseph received the visit of the Secretary General of the PSOE aquiline, Mari Carmen Moreno, who accompanied by some components of its Executive wanted to keep a fresh encounter with this humanitarian organization to catch up on the details and work developed in our locality.
During the meeting, the director of the organization, Juan Bautista Moreno presented the draft policy and forwarded to the socialist concern about the unfortunate social reality contemplated by Eagles, which currently serve more than one hundred and seventy families.
In this sense, Moreno stressed that beneficiaries are mostly food aquiline and Spanish citizens in general.
He explained that during the year in Eagles received three consignments of the Food Bank, which are distributed among needy families with a periodicity of between twenty and twenty-five days, giving each one a number of kilos by number of its component members.
In this regard, said a group of volunteers belonging to the Bethany Project, conducted in our town a cast of fresh foods such as meat, fish, fruit or vegetables.
"It is a relief to many people who, oddly enough, no financial support or even to cover the most basic needs," said Juan Bautista Moreno.
Caritas Parish of San Jose develops, for years, training programs for young people at risk of social exclusion.
As is the case of Barber PCPI (Initial Professional Qualification Programmes).
It also provides a service for children's playroom and Spanish courses for foreigners.
From Caritas hope to maintain these services and are concerned because, to date, have had to do without a social worker for lack of funding.
The poor state in which there are some units of local, situated Calle Doctor Armando Muñoz Calero, is another problem added to this humanitarian organization has always paid much help to the disadvantaged and especially in these tough times which we live.
Mari Carmen Moreno, meanwhile, took note of all the issues that moved and highlighted the invaluable work that Caritas performed at this time of great need.
