The Eagles mayor puts his salary in the hands of the Socialist Municipal Group (29/10/2012)

One proposal that the mayor of Eagles, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, took regular plenary of October, representing the Municipal People, was the voluntary resignation of his Christmas bonus and the other council members of the government team , money that the council may assign aquiline different purposes, including those of a social nature.

Although the proposal was cited by the affirmative vote of the PP and the PSOE, which sparked debate put on the table the issue of remuneration charged by different political positions.

In this sense, Bartolome Hernandez reminded the opposition that the first thing he did when he reached the hall, it is now little more than a year, the salary was lowered around 12%.

In addition, the mayor announced that next year will propose a cut in subsidies to municipal groups, about 50%, since right now the politicians are the first that should lead by example, Hernandez said.

During the plenary session and following repeated allusions and demagogic Socialist spokeswoman, Mari Carmen Moreno, has been doing in recent months, referring to the reduction of salary of the mayor and other council members, the head of local executive did not hesitate ask her it was her who put the salary he was charged, with the specification that it would fall just twice what it did in his post as deputy.

Tellingly, Bartolomé Hernández told "if you lower it to 10% I will do 20% if 25% I 50%, and if it drops by 50% I do not get paid anything," before it which received no answer.

Thus, Hernandez wanted to settle and expose populist and partisan use of salaries that Moreno used continuously in the media.

Finally, the spokesman of the government team, Diego Martínez Parra said that the Municipal Council is the right place to discuss these issues, while the Socialist spokesman invited to show the citizens of the same solidarity Eagles Party Popular, given that it takes well over 3,500 euros per regional office, plus another 500 or 600 euros Eagles Hall, suggesting he give up this amount to transfer her to social purposes.
