The collaboration between the Local Assembly of the Spanish Red Cross Eagles and Social Integration Area Foundation "La Caixa" has been signed on the morning of Tuesday, October 23 with the signing of a cooperation agreement.
An act that took place in the office of the bank located in the C / Iberia N ° 1 of the city and which was attended by the NGO its President, Miguel Molina Sanchez, and by the Foundation, Director Business Area in Lorca, Maria Josefa Martinez Villa.
The project "Social intervention with dependents" has been selected by the Social Work of "La Caixa" in the announcement made by the company in the year 2012.
It involves a total investment of € 35,700, of which € 13,800 has been provided by the Foundation and the remaining € 21,900, paid with funds from the NGO.
In this project, Red Cross Eagles promote social autonomy of elderly dependents and support to carers through the participation of volunteers.
One of the main objectives is to increase the degree of autonomy of the largest attended, all in direct coordination with public and private stakeholders in the municipality currently working with this group.
Next to it, is to help prevent the isolation of our elders and encourage healthy aging.
In parallel, the proximity in track users who benefit from the program, achieved with the voluntary work of members of Red Cross Eagles, will reveal in detail the evolution of the dependency, avoiding duplication of effort and optimizing available resources.
