The City of Eagles carried a motion calling plenary arrangement of the section of track damaged by torrential rains the past (17/10/2012)

Eagles Mayor indicated that the municipal government has been in close contact with both the Regional Government as with RENFE and ADIF, from the outset, in order to insist on the settlement of these important damage as soon as possible, and thus restore rail service to the municipality.

On the occasion of past rainfall occurred on September 28, the Eagles railway line linking the capital of the Region of Murcia, passing through Pulpí and Puerto Lumbreras, suffered heavy damage.

Since then, the company has been forced to carry travelers by bus, in order not to let these municipalities incommunicado.

In this sense, the mayor of Eagles, Bartolomé Hernández, has indicated that the municipal government has been in close contact with both the Regional Government as with RENFE and ADIF, from the outset, in order to emphasize the arrangement of these significant damage as soon as possible, and thus restore rail service.

The mayor highlighted the strong tradition that exists in Eagles railway and especially in these times when after receiving TALGO during every summer weekend, negotiations were almost closed its continuity.

As for the damage caused by the rains in the area, Hernandez said that the City has already informed the Government Delegation in Murcia a list of the damage caused, which also included the path breaking in Pulpí and Puerto Lumbreras, since although it was not directly in Aguilas, is considered a very important subject for the municipality.

For all this, the City of Eagles take the next Parliament a motion to urge the Regional Government and the Government Delegation in Murcia to make the necessary arrangements with RENFE and ADIF for immediate repair of this section of track or if more Conveniently, the advancement of the planned implementation of high-speed section between Lorca and Pulpí, performing suburban third way, improving and stabilizing the rail of Eagles.
