Hall and Club Nautico preparing the tenth edition of the "Coastal Eco-Schools" (11/10/2012)

The press room at the City of Eagle has been the venue this morning to present the tenth edition of the school program "Coastal Eco-Schools".

The ceremony was performed by the Councillor for Education, Francisco Clemente, accompanied by the manager and sporting director Eagles Yacht Club, José María Martínez and Pedro Juan Perez-Castejón respectively.

During the meeting with the media, Clement said that, as usual, is expected to draw more than 200 students from 3 ° to 5 ° of Primary Education, to which they instill the importance of appreciating the values ​​that enrich our town, its coastline and its diversity, to act with respect, by understanding the environment in which we live.

These objectives are achieved through guided tours of the cultural and natural heritage of Eagles, supplemented by educational activities at the Centre.

Another purpose of this program, which will be held Monday through Thursday, from 16'00 to 18'00 hours, is that children learn about the bond you have with the sea eagles, they know what were the beginnings of our city and how to care it as a whole, developing a relationship with the natural habitat and contributing actively in the protection, preservation and improvement of the environment. "

One of the novelties that this tenth edition of "Coastal Eco-Schools", is planting 200 pine trees in different parts of the town, and involving families of children who will be responsible for monitoring and care of trees along the school year.

This activity can be made through the collaboration of the Department of Environment and Clean City of Eagle, who heads the mayor Isidro Carrasco, which have appreciated her support.

Another aspect of the program, which starts next week, is the methodology used for development activities, as participants learn while having fun, carrying out different workshops within the school and numerous trips to sights.

Students who wish to participate or learn about the activities, only have to complete an application form which you will find in their schools or in the Department of Education of the City of Eagles.
