This past weekend officially opened the new recreation area of ​​the Residence of Railway Pensioners Eagles, a large terrace with trees and benches, which from now can enjoy the more than 150 residents who currently live in these dependencies.
The opening of this new space was included in the program of activities organized each year by the school management to celebrate "Residents Day" acts which as usual have been attended by members of the board of residence and various local authorities, in this case the Selectmen of Aging and Women, Ana María Martínez Sponsorship Miñarro and Mary, respectively.
The day also included holding a concelebrated Mass, visiting the exhibition of handicrafts made by the members of the center or a wine of honor, among other events.
The association of railroad retirement homes was established in Madrid in 1931, being in April 1970 when the center opens Eagles, who next to San Juan (Alicante) are the only nationwide belonging to this group.
The residence welcomes all kinds of people, rail or not, depending on availability of seats, with the only requirement to become a member of the center.
