The tourist routes and trails leading acts of the weekend at Eagles (14/06/2012)

The City of Eagle, through the departments of Tourism and Youth, has scheduled two routes for the upcoming weekend.

Saturday 16 June:

The Department of Youth and speleological group "City of Eagles" (GECA), have organized the Walking Route X "Bolnuevo-Cope", rated medium difficulty.

At 8.00 pm from the House of the Sea Eagles, will start a bus to Bolnuevo.

Once there, about 9.00 pm and will launch a route of 13 kilometers on foot, coves and cliffs, reaching Calnegre tips, where they will taste paella.

For those who are not eager to continue, will have prepared a bus and return to Eagles after lunch.

At 17.00 hours the road will continue for an hour and a half (about 4 miles) to get to Calahonda, where they spend the night.

At 8.30 pm on Sunday, will undertake the return walk to Eagles (Calabardina), on flat terrain without steep slopes, anticipating the arrival on the 12'30 hours, after about 14 kilometers.

Sunday 17 June:

At 10:00 hours, after registration in the Office of Tourism, home of Route Railway from Isaac Peral Square, where stands the Monument to the train, a locomotive machine built in 1889 in Glasgow (Scotland).

Walking the promenade takes you to the Railway Bridge of "The Boulevard of the Snakes", declared of cultural interest, to continue on foot along the Trail Stove, where are situated several tunnels and ore deposits, some of them recently rehabilitated.

In this place are several viewpoints, with privileged views of the Bay, and "Pier Cooker", a majestic mineral carrier built in 1901 by the British Railway Company Southeast.

The tour will continue with a visit to the railway station, in which is located under the Railway Museum, which includes a photo exhibition and utensils used throughout history as well as several model trains in motion, ending with the last stop in the restored "House of the Garden of Don Jorge," a building from the early twentieth century eclectic style, which was the former residence of George Lee Bog, company director Lorca-Baza railway-Eagles between 1907 and 1936.

Since Route Railroad has covered all his pitches Sunday, those interested in participating in future editions can now register free of charge at the Tourist Office of Eagles.
