The projected rainfall keeps improving hotel occupancy during Holy Week in Eagles (09/04/2012)

Visits to the Tourist Office have been similiar to last year, increasing the central days, between 5 and 8 April.

The Department of Tourism of the City of Eagle today reported data on hotel occupancy and visits to the Tourist Office, at Easter 2012.

According to the report and the corresponding statistical comparison with last year 2011, except some hotels have increased their reserves, most of these establishments have suffered a slight decline in occupancy during the Passion Week.

Most hotel owners have indicated that, although it was in many cases surpassing the early outlook, announcing repeated weather forecasts rain for the holidays negatively affected the number of reservations, forecasts that have not coincided with reality weather of the municipality, which has enjoyed sunshine and mild temperatures throughout Holy Week.

Another significant finding is that referring to the visits recorded in the Office of Tourism, both for general information on the processions, and for information on cultural events and places to visit in the locality.

In this regard, the Minister of Tourism in the Consistory aquiline, Clara Valverde, has clarified that "although the overall data were similar to those of 2011, despite the crisis and forecasts of bad weather during the main days, 5 to 8 April, the consultations have increased 50% over the same period last year, "highlighting the tourists: Madrid, Catalonia and Alicante, in terms of national origin, and English, German and French, in the field internationally.
