The Eagles Auditorium hosts a retrospective exhibition of Manuel Coronado (29/03/2012)

The exhibition, the artist has dedicated his cousin, Ginés Coronado, recently deceased, collects nearly 200 works, including paintings, ceramics and sculptures, which illustrates the warmth of the colors and the subtlety of brush Manuel Coronado.

Manuel Coronado was born in Eagle in the spring of 1942.

His childhood was marked by two decisive facts, so that gestate the figure of the artist we know today, the death of his father and the change of residence of his family.

In the postwar period, after the death of the patriarch, his mother Elizabeth moved to Mallorca with their children, where maternal grandparents resided.

Once there, Manolo becomes a restless young man, who quickly noted for his strong personality.

As he says "a childhood peppered with accomplishments and successes, but always under the protective wings of angels."

From a very early age, skating and fine arts were his two great passions, becoming prominent in each.

Special mention deserves its rapid upstroke as a painter, earning awards known as the Madrid and UNICEF and Figure Composition in the School of Arts and Crafts in Palma de Mallorca.

Distinctions which represented only the beginning of a prolific career that led Coronado to move to the Nordic countries, where he completed training as a painter and grew as a person.

This universal aquiline and has lived for art, exhibiting in some of the most prestigious museums in the world, while his paintings were acquired to form part of selected collections of paintings, while he was recognized with awards as important as the March Foundation The City of Palma or Murcia City.
