Isabel Maria Martinez Sanchez won the traditional contest of crumbs and Ginesa Jódar Sanchez was named 'Farmer of the Year.
The hamlet aquiline "Marina de Cope" received last weekend the main events of the XVIII Farmers' Festival, organized by the Agrarian Association of Young Farmers (BDA), in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture of the City of Eagle.
The activities began on Saturday with a fellowship meal at the restaurant El Paso (tribute to Rafael Lopez), a talk on "cabañuelas 2012" by Jose Buitrago and election of the "Farmer of the Year", which this time fell in Ginesa Jódar Sanchez.
A Mass ribbon races, championship Chinamen and hammer release, the actions of the crew of La Marina de Cope competition or traditional crumb pans with 76 participants, were other events organized to commemorate this date.
The winners of the contest XVIII crumbs, with prizes for the top 6 pans were as follows:
1 °: Isabel Maria Martinez Sanchez
2: The Mantas.
3 °: Carmen Lopez.
4 °: Ramon Morata.
5 °: Antonia Rodriguez.
6 °: Maria Navarro.
The event was attended by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez Gimenez, accompanied by several councilors of the Municipal Corporation and representatives of BDA in Aguilas.
