Eagles mayor and the mayor of Tourism held meetings with several directors of expansion, some of whom personally visited the city in the coming months.

The mayor of Eagles, Giménez Hernández Bartolomé and the mayor of Tourism, Clara Valverde, have positively assessed the presence of Eagles in the XXXII International Tourism Fair (FITUR 2012), which since last Wednesday through next Sunday held in the capital of Spain.

For two days, local authorities, together with the management responsible for Tourism Competitiveness Plan "Eagles, Sea and Fisheries", José María Muñoz, have maintained a busy schedule of meetings with tour operators, tourism consultants and directors expansion several well-known hotel chains, among which are:-Senator Playa Sol Melia Hotels Evenia or Piñero Group, among others.

Following these meetings, Bartolome Hernandez stated that "they have delivered a comprehensive dossier of Eagles and is anticipated that some of those responsible for these big chains personally visit the city in the coming months."

Hernandez has clarified that "times are tough, so it is now the more we must work and be prepared for when economic conditions improve, as the fruits of these meetings are not collected overnight and any action directed in this regard is needed to strengthen our tourism and create jobs. "

Finally, the mayor has said that "Eagle has great potential, which is reinforced with the implementation of the Cartagena-Vera motorway, or the future Corvera Airport, which will help position our offer in the tourist market."

Institutionally, the local chief executive has also maintained contacts with Directors of Tourism and mayors of several cities, among which is the mayor of Ibiza, Marienne Sanchez-Jauregui, with which it has agreed to create a working table which will address common goals in promoting tourism.
