The Eagles host CDIAT Support Program for Children with Disabilities and Attention Deficit (14/12/2011)

The mayor of Social Services, Ana Maria Miñarro, visited the facility and has released the highlights of the project.

The mayor of Social Services, Ana Maria Miñarro, visited the facilities of the Center for Child Development and Early Intervention (CDIAT), which carries out a Support Program for Children with Disabilities and Attention Deficit.

As reported by the head of Social Services, the City of Eagle sought support from the Regional Employment Service and Training (SEF) to run this project has been funded through the European Social Fund.

Ana Maria Miñarro has detailed that "the program began last October and conclude in June 2012 with the clear objective to continue to give individualized attention in children between 6 and 12 years with special educational needs."

Currently, a total of 30 children are treated in the CDIAT Eagles, receiving educational or physiotherapy care according to their needs, which explores the potential of each student, gradually reaching movement patterns during psychomotor development, control or postural body schema, in the case of physiotherapy, or the development of verbal communication program that allows active and inclusive social participation in the pedagogical aspect.

Miñarro publicly congratulated the three workers of the Centre for Early Intervention: an educator, a physiotherapist and an administrative day for the work developed and has encouraged them to continue their efforts to provide the best care for children assigned to the program.
