This week begins the Ninth Edition of the Program 'Coastal eco-schools' (11/10/2011)

The INITIATIVE aimed at children from 3 ° to 5 ° of Primary Education, part of the Department of Education and the Club Nautico de Aguilas.

Education Councilman aquiline consistory, Francisco Clemente, accompanied by the president and sports director of Club Nautico de Aguilas, Miguel Lopez and Pedro Juan Pérez-Castejon, respectively, today unveiled the ninth edition of the school program "Coastal eco-schools" .

The program, which is expected to involve over 200 students from 3 ° to 5 ° of Primary Education, will be held Monday through Thursday, from 16'00 to 18'00 hours.

As reported by the Councillor for Education "these activities aim to foster in students a curiosity about their identity and appreciate the importance of values ​​that enrich our town, its coastline and its diversity, to act with respect, by understanding the environment in we live. "

Clement has stated that "these objectives are achieved through guided tours of cultural and natural heritage of Eagles, complete with educational activities at the Centre where they are studying."

The representatives of Club Nautico de Aguilas have stated that "Coastal Ecoescuela also wants children to know the link is to the sea eagles, to know what were the beginnings of our city and how to take care of it together, developing a relationship with the natural habitat and contribute actively to the protection, preservation and improvement of environment. "

Miguel Lopez, president of the Yacht Club, has qualified "because of the methodology used in this program of activities, participants learn while having fun, making to do several workshops within the school and numerous excursions to places of interest the locality. "

Among the novelties of this IX edition of Coastlines Ecoescuela are initiatives such as planting and maintaining trees, fishing contests or workshop ecological construction toys from recycled materials, and other classical and activities including: sailing courses and cleaning of beaches, along with tours and craft workshops.

Students who wish to participate or learn about the activities, only have to fill out an application they will encounter in their schools or the Department of Education of the City of Eagles.
