Today Monday, October 3, took place in the City of Eagle presenting the program of events included in the "Prevention Week 2011 Fire," which promotes the Institute for Prevention, Health and Environment of the Mapfre Foundation, Technical Association of Professional Firefighters (APTB) and the Fire Services of several Spanish administrations.
In the press conference were present: the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, the director general of Public Safety and Emergency Luis Gestoso, the general director of the Institute for Prevention, Health and Environment Foundation Mapfre, Antonio Guzman, the council Public Safety of the consistory aquiline, Francisco Clemente, the manager of the Consortium for Fire Fighting and Rescue Region of Murcia, Mariano Sanchez, and the fire chief of the municipality of La Coruña, Carlos Garcia, representing the APTB.
The authorities have stated that "the objective of this conference is to move the population self-protection skills, learning to recognize fire hazards that have in their homes, workplaces and in their environment in general."
This week, which each year addresses a different audience, is dedicated in its sixth edition to the prevention of fires in crowded public places and schools, as they are one of the most vulnerable to fire.
Until next Friday, October 7, Eagles will host a program of activities including lectures, fire and evacuation drills, exhibitions, a theater, among other events.
