Eagles collected through a guidebook archaeological history of the city (08/06/2011)

The publication shows, through pictures and texts, the local Archaeological official World Heritage Site, from prehistory to the modern age.

Today Wednesday, June 8, in the consistory aquiline, the acting mayor of Eagles, Juan Ramirez, the acting mayor of Culture, Clara Valverde, and municipal archaeologist, Juan de Dios Hernández, have carried out the presentation of a guidebook which includes the archaeological history of the city.

The main reason for this publication is to delve into our past through the Archaeological Museum as a center for conservation, protection, exhibition, research and dissemination of local archaeological heritage.

The book, 161 pages, was published by the City of Eagle and the general direction of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.

Through text and colorful illustrations, the guide will show you a detailed tour of the most significant findings found in excavations carried out over the years in Aguilas, from prehistory (Paleolithic to the Bronze Age) to the Modern Age , where restoration work on the castle "San Juan de las Aguilas" have a special role.

Other areas of interest listed in the publication are: Culture Argárica, the Middle Ages or the Iberian culture, where the Romanization is the biggest local archaeological collection and one of the most important of the Region of Murcia.
