The use of special surveillance and rescue began on the beaches of Eagles (01/06/2011)

The special operation monitoring and water rescue planned for the summer season begins on the beaches of the town of Eagles with 15 personnel, five checkpoints and five first aid and rescue boats.

The Minister of Justice and Public Safety office, Manuel Campos, along with local authorities and representatives of bodies and security forces, attended today's presentation to the start of the Surveillance and Rescue in Beaches and Rescue at Sea Region Murcia (Copla Plan) in the municipality, which begins its device to respond to any incident occurring, information and advice to swimmers and perform works of search, rescue or salvage.

This operation, which begins July 1 in the rest of the region, come in the beaches of Calabardina Calarreona, Las Delicias, La Colonia and the West as a preventive measure before the large influx of holidaymakers and swimmers.

Staff and material resources will be deployed daily from 11:00 until 19:00 hours and will remain active until 15 September.

Thus, in each of the beaches will be installed first aid and rescue, equipped with three or four lifeguards and a rescue boat.

To facilitate accessibility to the beaches for people with disabilities or reduced mobility will be enabled and infrastructure elements, such as amphibious chairs, and a help desk personnel to the bathroom on the beaches of Calabardina, Las Delicias and La Colonia.

In the rest of the coast will also be developed aguileño monitoring functions with a fleet of SUVs rapid intervention to ensure safety to upgrade the device with the whole plan.

The monitoring will be extended from 25 June to rest of the coast aquiline, which also included six other beaches (Stove, Levante, Matalentisco, La Cabaña, La Higuera and La Carolina), with the increase in occupancy during the months of July and August.

Civil Defence Volunteers, members of the Guardia Civil and Local Police, fire and 1-1-2 Emergency Center Murcia and Emergency Management 061, in addition to the inspection and monitoring of beaches Eagles , provided by Red Cross.
