Today Wednesday, March 22, the mayor of Eagle, Juan Ramírez Soto and the government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, accompanied by other authorities, inaugurated the recently completed rehabilitation work on the historic home of the Garden of Don Jorge ( ancient cultural center of RENFE).
The works, whose cost amounts to € 300,000 have been funded through the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability 2010.
The tasks were based on the complete rehabilitation of the building, except the hall was already restored in previous performances.
The work has sought to respect fully the original image of this village in 1912.
For this purpose, using materials similar to existing ones (floor, wall ...).
In the performance also included furniture and exterior development.
The building style is eclectic, with a porch and patio and is built on the podium.
It was the former residence of the director of the railroad company Lorca-Baza-Eagles, Jorge Lee Boag.
During the meeting with the media, the mayor of Eagles has indicated that "since these facilities have become municipal property, the City of Eagle is promoting various projects to convert this space into a meeting of sport and culture local. "
Ramirez pointed out that "the recent construction of two paddle courts, a tennis court, locker rooms and the reform of the existing athletics track, now joins the restoration of the house and will soon incorporate an indoor pool, currently underway, culminating and the recovery program and value of the complex. "
