Unemployment goes up in Eagles (11/03/2011)

Unemployment figures are frightening and we must act on them, providing solutions to this serious problem.

According to the Sefcarm (the Portal of Employment and Training in the Region of Murcia), the number of unemployed in Eagles in February amounted to 2943, which meant a considerable increase compared to January, which the number of unemployed was 2,848.

As to the division by age, 400 of those unemployed are under 25 years, 1,666 are aged between 25 and 44, and 877 are over 45 years.

With respect to unemployment by sector, the services most affected, with 1,617 unemployed, followed by construction with 751, Agriculture and Fisheries 304, with 146 industry sectors and finally with 125 unemployed.

They all add the not inconsiderable figure of 2,943 unemployed in Aguilas.

From the MASD we ask: What measures has the Popular Party to curb this rise so big?

Crisis impact, no doubt, but politicians should have known better manage the resources they had, so now we do not see this.

Aquiline citizens are deeply concerned about their future, and that in the 12 years in office, the PP has not opted for the industry, does not provide alternatives to the collapse of Building and Agriculture has not modernized.

We accuse the PP of bad management because the data is there, available to anyone.

Throughout all these years have spent about 350 million euros of municipal coffers.

But where has that money gone to?

The town is cleaner, and has prospered economically, and have attracted businesses to generate an industrial base that provides jobs, nor have they managed to tourism "takeoff."

PP politicians said in their electoral program of the past elections that were taking place, and I quote, "a policy of balanced budgets."

However, they have not conducted a balanced policy, because wages have fallen or been cut in the big bucks are spent on phone (200,000 per year) or travel above have to justify, but in these recent budgets have been cut precisely where needed most makes the citizen, who is on social services and employment-generating sectors such as agriculture and industry.

Since we MASD responsibilities and say "enough."

It is time for the aquiline take charge of their future and not be left in the hands of them.
