The Ministry of Culture, through the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain, is currently developing an intervention at the pier of "The Stove" in Aguilas (Murcia).
This action, which has a budget of 500,000 euros, will enable different areas to facilitate the visit to this monument, declared of Cultural Interest in 2000.
To do so will fit access from the concourse, new doors will be made available and improving the signage and ventilation through louvres.
Inside recover the old railroad tracks, will be cleaned brick vaults and installed a lighting system that highlights the aesthetic values of the enclave.
In addition, act in the silo cover, originally used to store the ore and ventilation towers.
The project promoted by the Ministry of Culture is part of a strategy for global action to recover and add value to the pier of "The Stove", built between 1900 and 1901.
The action that the IPCE is conducting complete he made between 2004 and 2008 for the management, development, landscape restoration and landscaping around the monument, which involved an investment of 400,000 euros.
