The Department of Equality recently developed a course in female self-defense in which took part about 25 women, including the mayor of the area, Isabel María Torrente.
The program, taught by Felipe Mula, Local Police and expert in personal defense, has as a proritario objective "to offer to the women the basic tools to be able to react if they are attacked", assured Torrente who, in addition, emphasized "the good reception of the course and the interest shown by participating in it ".
So much so that the mayor said that from the Department "is studying the possibility that it can be developed once a month in order to respond to the many existing demands."
