PP: "The mayor of Aguilas does not support the aquiline students" (30/06/2017)

The Popular Municipal Group presented in the June Ordinary Plenary a motion to open the study room of the Francisco Rabal House of Culture during the months of December, January, February, June, July, August and September, seven days Of the week from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the request of youth groups, as more and more students of our town are demanding a few study spaces with appropriate conditions for this and with ample schedules that Make your work easier at the test time and throughout the summer.

The motion was rejected with the vow of quality of the mayor, demonstrating the little support provided by the socialist team to students aquiline.

One of the reasons he rejected the proposal is that, according to his words, the officials can not work on weekends, something that perplexed the Popular Group.

Isabel Soler, a municipal spokesperson, reminded them that "libraries are a public service, so the cost of hiring one person to attend to the extension of the timetable translates into more benefits than losses, since in addition to creating a Work, there would also be many students who would benefit from the measure. "

"Despite acknowledging the wide existing demand, the mayoress refuses to extend the schedule of the only public library in Aguilas, rejecting the request made by the Popular Group, in an ambiguous, vague and contradictory manner," concluded Soler , Defending the right of the students to the provision of a service in the same conditions that other cities of our Community.

The creation of a public water bank was another motion presented by the Municipal People's Group to optimize a resource as necessary in our Region as it is water and which had the unanimity of all municipal groups.

They were also approved, with the full support of the plenary, to urge the Murcian Health Service to authorize the extension of the emergency service to 24 hours and to urge, this time to the Regional Government, to modify and reconvert the current Draft decree that regulates the Early Care service and seek with all the sectors involved the ideal framework model most suitable for its regulation in the Region of Murcia.
