The City Council launches a new employment and training program that allows the recruitment of twelve unemployed youth (18/05/2017)

The City Council of Eagles has launched a new Joint Program for Employment and Training - Youth Guarantee that will allow the temporary recruitment, for a year, of a total of twelve young people under 30 years who until now were in situation of unemployment.

Co-financed by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, the European Social Fund and the City of Aguilas, which has made a significant contribution to the development of the program, "this project is aimed at re-employment through qualification and learning Of an office, "said the mayor of Aguilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, who along with the mayor of Local Development, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, visited the participants.

The project, called "Green Belt in the Surrounding Area of ​​Águilas et al., Phase I", aims to improve the employability of unemployed young people, with the purpose of facilitating their insertion in the labor market, through their participation in temporary projects for The performance of works or services of public or social utility, in which learning and qualification alternate with productive work.

The program consists of a first phase, of 3 months of duration, of formative-practical character that allows them to obtain a Certificate of Professionalism of level 2, in the specialty of Installation and Maintenance of Gardens and Green Zones, in which the Student-workers receive a scholarship of daily attendance;

During the second phase, of 9 months, the training alternates with work and professional practice.

It should be noted that in this second phase the participants signed a training contract to carry out gardening in the municipality, charging 75% of the interprofessional minimum wage.

As far as the works to be carried out, they mainly consist in the valorization of the green zones that are in the perimeter of the bypass of Eagles, through which the bike path passes.

The idea is to develop a green belt with native plant, preferably endemic, for the great ecological, economic and cultural advantages that it presents.
