The City Council of Eagles has set up the Culture Commission with the objective, said the mayor of the area, Lucía Hernández, "to launch a forum for debate in which cultural projects and actions for Eagles are put together."
The Commission, which will meet monthly, is made up of teachers, members of cultural associations, entities that develop cultural actions in the locality and, with the presence of municipal officials responsible for archeology, archive and Auditorium, and The mayor of Culture.
"It was a question of Hernández - of an advisory forum in which people interested in the culture from different areas are present and who, undoubtedly, will be able to enrich with their contributions the work of the Department of Culture."
The mayor also noted that one of the first actions that emerged from this Commission has been the launch of the Eagles Short Story Award.
