The spokeswoman for the Municipal Popular Group, Eva Reverte, has presented a motion that will be debated in the next plenary session to give the name of Martín Cegarra "The Practitioner" to a street in the town of Águilas, taking into account the involvement of this aquiline in medicine and as a tribute to all those like him who did during his life do not stop a moment fighting for all of us and taking care of us in these hard days of the pandemic.

"Martín Cegarra Mulero is a healthcare professional loved and respected by all the citizens of Águilas, who at only 11 years old was clear about his vocation and when asked by his father about his future, he told him that he wanted to study and be a practitioner", detailed the popular leader.

In Reverte's words, "Don Pedro Calero and Don Armando Muñoz Calero gave him the opportunity to do an internship at the then Hospital de San Francisco de la Caridad, in order to be able to examine himself as an intern" and "the career took her out with brilliant marks, opposing a practitioner from the state in 1957 and getting the best grade of all those who were from Águilas.

" "In Águilas he has worked as an anesthetist with the midwife Don Antonio Maldonado Tapia and was the practitioner of the doctor Don Celemente", has indicated the 'popular', to which he added that "Martín" the practitioner ", because that is how he likes let's call, he is a man who has always moved out of a pure vocation and who never cared about money ".

Reverte stressed that "we could say that Martín has performed work as a doctor without being one, a midwife, surgeon, dentist and professor of doctors to teach them how to visit patients and how they should act" and that "once retired and in his hometown he was a councilor of the City council of Aguilas and president of the Municipal Center of the Third Age ".

"Without a doubt, giving the name of a street in the city where it was born is a tribute both to Martín Cegarra Mulero, as well as to all the people who carry out this profession and who in this harsh pandemic are leaving their skin to protect us all ", Reverte concluded.
