The City Council of Aguilas, through the Local Development Council, has presented a score of initiatives to the Plan for the Recovery and Transformation of the Region that, once sent by the Municipality of Aguilas to the Community, will be forwarded to the central government to qualify for European "Next Generation" funds.

Among the proposals presented, it stands out, in relation to Internet access, to bring fiber optic to Los Arejos, Calarreona, Cine de Cope, Cabezo de los Zurdos, Cuesta de Gos and Calabardina.

Likewise, and related to the access to population centers and road improvement, the City Council has requested that the conditioning of the Huerta del Abad and Los Alc zar roads be taken into account and that, in addition, the Autonomous Community execute the projects already granted in rural roads within the framework of the current Operational Program.

Other of the initiatives presented are the creation of a dissuasive car park and green area on the Rambla del Charco; the construction of a single platform, preferably pedestrianized in Plaza de España and Coronel Pareja; the creation of a green forest area on the plot of the old dump; the transformation of the public space on Murcia Street; a cycling and pedestrian road in the section of entrance to guilas by the road of Vera; the energy rehabilitation of the buildings of the House of Culture, Placet n and sports center; the construction of a junction lane on RM-D14 and RM-D15 as well as a turning lane on RM-D14; the collection of water in the Ramblas Garriga and del Renegado; elevation of the RM-D18 highway; creation of a storm tank on the Rambla del Taray;development of sewerage collectors in Paseo de la Estaci n, Alameda and Commissary road; and the construction of a new wastewater station for the municipality.
