The mayor of Education, Francis Gallego, recalled the prevention and hygiene measures that should be followed for the return to school of schoolchildren next week. In this sense, the area councilor recalled that you should not go to the educational center if you have symptoms compatible with Covid-19.
Regarding parents or guardians, it is important that they respect the entry and exit times, that they avoid accessing the center unless they come by appointment and that they remember to include water, hydroalcoholic gel and a spare mask in their children's backpacks. There are also a series of recommendations for students such as maintaining a safe distance and avoiding crowds; read, respect and comply with the indications on the posters regarding prevention measures; avoid sharing personal items; try to relate in small groups; or not to obstruct passageways, among others. Finally, the mayor insisted that "from the City Council we are aware of the uncertainty that going back to school is generating in some parents due to the coronavirus crisis; however, we must make it clear, first of all, that the local government does not have the powers in educational matters, so we cannot decide whether or not to open schools but, apart from this, we are working tirelessly, and coordinated with the local management teams and AMPAS, so that all the measures on which we have competition are developed in the best possible way.
