Yesterday the COVID Technical Scientific Committee was constituted for greater coordination and management of data related to the coronavirus; a body made up of the coordinators of the Health Centers, the coordinator of the SUAP, the management of Health Area III, the Local Police Headquarters, the mayor of Health, the mayor of Citizen Security and the mayor.After the Constitution, the first meeting was held yesterday in order to address the aspects related to the coronavirus crisis in the town that has added 15 new positives in the last 24 hours.After the meeting, the mayor of Health, María Dolores García, insisted on the need to follow health recommendations such as social distancing, continuous hand washing and use of a mask.
Along the same lines, and taking into account the recommendations of the medical coordinators and the SUAP, García stated that it is still necessary for health care to be carried out over the phone and that face-to-face visits to the service of emergencies.
"It is important for citizens to know that PCR tests are not performed in the emergency department and that in the event of any compatible symptom, they must remain isolated at home, contacted by telephone with the medical services.Going to the emergency service at this time can be a health risk so we must insist on the need to maintain a prudent attitude ", clarified the mayor.It should also be noted that another of the agreed measures has been to tighten the control and monitoring of those people who fail to comply with the quarantine, which is why the Local Police is part of this Committee.
Finally, it has been agreed to reinforce the disinfection service in those parts of the municipality with the greatest influx of people, such as schools, supermarkets or banks.
