Bachelor of research and learning based on projects at the IES Alfonso Escámez (13/05/2020)

From May 14 to 21, our center will collect the applications in person at the time and day assigned by appointment.By phone call: 968 448 433Or by means of a message to the email citapreviaescamez@gmail.comNEWSThe IES Alfonso Escámez has as a priority objective the attention to the diversity of its students.

This diversity of interests and motivations is a reflection of today's society, which is why our staff seeks an answer to all the training needs that are demanded.

Our educational offer is wide and plural and covers a wide range of possibilities, both in ESO, as well as in Baccalaureate and Vocational Training. For the next academic year 2020/2021 we start two new options for those students who begin studies with us in ESO and in Baccalaureate:Ø Project Based Learning (ABP) for ESO students. From our Educational Community, attending to the demand of all the sectors that are linked in the improvement of the quality of our teachings, we believe that a profound renewal of our educational system is necessary so that all the capacities of our students are developed and where they take strength aspects that we consider necessary such as “creativity and collaborative work”.

The classroom has to become a meeting place, of motivation, of teamwork, where an integral development takes place and where the different ways of learning are facilitated. This project aims to provide a response to the various difficulties that our educational models go through in order to respond to differences in learning rhythms, putting into practice a new active methodology that is recommended by all European leaders and also encouraged by current educational legislation. The ABP aims to promote collaborative learning that helps to modify the role that the teacher currently plays in the classroom, now it is about, in addition to transferring knowledge, encouraging, motivating, being a guide and facilitator of learning.

This facilitates the guidelines for the student to create links between the different subjects that make their knowledge a global experience.

We will go from a divided teaching in subjects to an integrated learning, with an ultimate goal, a project that makes sense of what has been learned.

The projects that are proposed to the students are interdisciplinary, in which they will develop their capacities through proposals related to their environment, in which they have to interact with different social agents, participating and knowing their mechanisms, in short, incorporating them as citizens into their reality.

It is an ambitious project that is intended to be implemented at all levels of secondary school. This methodology, Project Based Learning (ABP) in Secondary Education, complements the student's intellectual capacities with other attitudes that are also essential for their personal development and integration in society, such as personal and group work, the search for information , the use of new technologies, respect, tolerance, ...

etc.

Indispensable values ??in today's society.Ø Research Baccalaureate Organic Law 2/2006, of May 3, on Education, provides in its article 32.1 that “the Baccalaureate aims to provide students with training, intellectual and human maturity, knowledge and skills that allow them to develop social functions and join active life with responsibility and competence.

It will also train students to access higher education.

”Based on which, we can say that the Research Baccalaureate is a complete training plan with a two-course curriculum, which is carried out in parallel and jointly with the ordinary Baccalaureate courses.

It is presented as an educational option and constitutes a close link between the University and the Secondary Education centers, providing students with the vision of the social value of the university as a driving force for improvements through research as a generator of knowledge and good common. The general objectives of the Research Baccalaureate are: to train students with a balanced, broad and autonomous education; train them to be citizens concerned with improving the society in which they live from knowledge, understanding and collaboration; knowing how to value individual effort and teamwork, indispensable from the point of view of the research world. Therefore, with this baccalaureate a dual approach is intended: the theoretical and the practical.

The theorist will provide the student with a solid, motivating conceptual base that consolidates their knowledge.

And the practical one, which complements the previous one, will develop in the students their aptitudes in the field of research and the implementation of previously acquired knowledge.
