The mayor of Equality has recalled the obligation of citizens, now more than ever, to report if they see or hear possible abuse (24/03/2020)

"Gender violence is not a private problem, it is a violation of human rights that is incumbent on all of society, especially the public powers. For this reason, in this state of alarm, with the difficulties that isolation in We, the households, want to inform all women who may be experiencing these situations of violence that the actions of prevention and response to gender violence are still ongoing. "

With these words from the Ministry of Equality, the mayor of the area, Elena Casado, has reminded all the women of the municipality that the fight against this social scourge is still active from the Women's Center.

Thus, Casado recalled that 016 (telephone service for victims of gender violence) continues to operate normally 24 hours a day, every day of the week.

In addition, during the hours of 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the CAVI techniques continue to provide information, advice and support through the telephone 968 412 874.

For emergency situations it is possible to call 112 or the emergency numbers of the Local Police (091) and the Civil Guard (062).

All of them free.

In a dangerous situation, in case it is not possible to make a call, an alert signal with geolocation can be sent to the Local Police through the APP Alertcops.

The mayor has recalled that you feel that you are in danger and cannot keep yourself safe at home, as indicated by the Ministry, leaving your home will be justified whenever it is to go to any of the police, judicial or other types available.

Finally, the mayor has made an appeal to the public to which he has recalled that it is everyone's commitment "to denounce if we see or hear possible abuse."
