Last Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23, the "Navarra Arena" pavilion in the city of Pamplona, ​​hosted 800 karatecas from the benjamin, juvenile, children and youth categories throughout the national territory to compete in the First League Day National Children's Karate 2020. Among them, is the elite of the current national karate in these categories.

According to the organization, up to about 3,500 spectators came to enjoy this championship, in the modern and impressive facilities of the "Navarra Arena" pavilion.

The Club Karate Águilas, by Juan Carlos Navarro Gómez, has participated in this important event representing Águilas with twelve young competitors (Isabel Torres, Alba Franco, Heike Martínez, Ziyan Miao, Antonio Pérez, Anass Elhaidaoi, León Mamonko, Alejandro Franco, Cristóbal Díaz, Luis Miguel Agullo, Sergio Atienza and Pablo Atienza).

Everyone has tried to overcome, giving everything in this difficult championship, due to the level of its participants.

Some of them have managed to pass a round, such as Ziyan Miao and Alejandro Franco in kumite, and León Mamonko and Cristóbal Díaz in katas (in their different categories).

The latter, Cristóbal Díaz, has also managed to hang the silver medal, with a more than meritorious second place in the modality of male children's kumite <30kg.

We must also add to this excellent result, Alejandro Franco's eighth place among 63 participants in youth katas, Anass Elhaidaoi's sixth place in youth kumite, and fourth places (touching the bronze) of Heike Martínez, Alba Franco, Sergio Atienza and Pablo Atienza in Kumite in their respective categories.

With these results, and waiting for their performances in the Second Day of the National League to be held in November in the city of Cáceres, the Club Karate Águilas, manages to qualify for the Grand Final of the National Karate League, to Seven of its components.

Since only the first eight classified of the Ranking of each category will be able to dispute the Grand Final of the month of December that will be held in the beautiful city of Malaga.
